Joana Esteves is one of the two co-founders of JoMar Visions. Esteves was born in Lisbon, Portugal and still very little, grew a fascination for music, photography and other arts that would span for her entire life. Professional fine art photographer since 2009, the artist has had gallery affiliations as an artist with Zen Art Space in the Houston Galleria, JoMar Visions and Galerie Spectra.
Esteves graduated in Music Technology and Production at the North Devon College in England in 2009. Since 2009, she has been featured in many group art events in several of the galleries and venues in the Houston area.
In 2010 Esteves co-founded JoMar Visions, giving opportunities to many emerging artists to jump start their careers and to established artists to develop them even further.
In 2011 Esteves was invited to be a juror for the “Show Us Your City Center” Exhibit in Houston TX and she is also a fixed co-juror at the annual JoMar Vision Art Excellence Juried competition. In 2011 she spans her creative medium to painting, with which she falls in love.
In 2012 Esteves is considered amongst the top 5 photographers in Houston Texas by being nominated as photographer of the year and semi-finalist at RAWards, the biggest indie arts show annually held by RAW:natural born artists, where over 10,000 artists from all creative visual and performing arts participate across the United States and beyhond.
In 2013 she was invited to be a juror of the Four Points Contemporary 1st Bi-annual Juried Online International Art Competition and in 2014, she was invited to jury the Galveston Art League Fall Juried competition. In 2017 she is a finalist of Biennale Peschiera del Garda and also of Berlin I Segnalati International Art competitions.

In 2018 the artist wins 3rd Place award on the Adult Illustration category for "The Power of Wind" competition with her piece "Winds and Wings", which is part of the permanent collection of the Kregel Windmill Museum in Nebraska, USA.
She is thrilled to see several concepts and ideas come to live where several artists of all backgrounds and mediums, musicians and other performers, come together through JoMar Visions events. Her artwork is collected internationally.
Her gift is her passion served on a “plate” made of image... with the hope that you can feel at least a bit of the enjoyment she felt while creating it...
